SSP America Awarded $70 million Contract at Orlando International Airport.

le grans comptoir          le grans comptoir2SSP America, a division of SSP Group, a leading operator of food and beverage brands in travel locations worldwide, has been awarded a seven-year $70 million contract by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority to develop and manage four restaurant concepts in Airsides 1 and 3 at Orlando International Airport (MCO).
SSP America’s portfolio of highly customized, multiple award-winning proprietary brands are perfectly suited to the Orlando passenger demographic and are already proven, leading revenue drivers in San Diego International, JFK, Houston Intercontinental and Toronto Pearson International airports.
SSP America’s winning concepts for MCO, which will open throughout 2016, include the following:

Created by SSP France and debuted at Metz rail station, Le Grand Comptoirpromises today’s travelers a new level of expectation: a beautifully designed travel oasis, where travelers can  wind down in comfort over a perfectly chosen, exquisitely presented glass of wine paired with exceptional food.  The concept has won multiple awards, including The Moodie Report’s prestigious FAB award for best “Food-Led Café Bar/Restaurant” for its operations at Houston’s Intercontinental.  It has also been recognized by a variety of leading publications including The Wall Street Journal, Condé Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure as one of the best airport bars in the world.
Camden Food co. is an international, SSP proprietary brand that is a traveler’s haven for choice and healthy eating.  Camden brings a balanced approach, providing an abundance of healthy options alongside more indulgent yet affordably priced treats, giving the consumer a wide range of choices. Camden was brought to North America five years ago and has proven its success at Vancouver, Toronto Pearson, New York’s JFK, Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental and San Diego International airports, among several others.  Camden is the winner of two Airport Revenue News’ awards in 2010 for “Best New Food & Beverage Concept” and “Best Airport Restaurant Design”.
SSP America’s win also brings a strong mix of Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (“ACDBE”) MCO operators by pairing a proven ACDBE partner and a newly certified ACDBE for a total participation of 35%.
