Bahrain is working on a new proposal for the strategic direction agreement related to a new airport which is set to be established.
The Bahraini Transport and Telecommunications is expected to submit its request for proposals (RFP) by the end of next year or the beginning of 2020, its minister Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed confirmed.
The construction efforts on the planned passenger terminal at Bahrain International are scheduled for conclusion late next year.
The planned airport, valued at an estimate of USD10 billion, is expected to be set up in cooperation with the Bahraini private sector.
