Uganda launches Kabaale International Airport construction

Construction works of Kabaale airport, Uganda’s second international airport, have commenced in the country’s western district of Hoima.

Authorities said the new airport will open up the region, which has great oil potential including the Kaiso-Tonya oil fields and the national oil refinery, notably.

Let’s note that the infrastructure, estimated at $309 million, is set to have a 3.5 km runway and cover 29 km².

The duration of the construction work is estimated to be between three and five years.
